Coming from a musical family, piano, voice and cello were all significant components of my musical upbringing. This led me to a career of wanting to help and guide others to enjoy music as much as I do. Throughout the years, I have been privileged to nurture beginners to more advanced adults.

I am a prairie boy from Saskatchewan where I began formal music lessons at the age of five with piano, voice and later, the cello. I have been a member of many orchestras and choirs. As a teenager I began my piano studies with Robin Harrison, the then-head of the Piano Department at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. As well, it is from U of S that I received a Bachelor of English Degree.

In my early twenties I performed as an accompanist for instrumentalists and singers, was the pianist for Prairie Opera Company in Saskatoon, and played for church services.

In 1990 I moved to the coast to study piano with Jane Coop and Eugene Skovorodnikov at the University of British Columbia. Since graduating, I have helped many students successfully complete their Royal Conservatory exams and hopefully develop their own joy of piano playing and love of making music.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”22px”][/eltdf_elements_holder_item][/eltdf_elements_holder][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row simple_background_color=”#111111″][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text]We at Dio Piano School are honoured to have Paul Junk as part of Vancouver’s best piano teachers in our West Vancouver location.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][eltdf_separator border_style=”” width=”60%” color=”#b6a17e”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
