Born in 1969 in Russia (then USSR), Denis studied at the Gnessins Musical and Pedagogical Institute in Moscow, completing both his Bachelors and Masters degrees.
Before immigrating to Canada Denis worked as a piano instructor and an accompanist for various music schools in Moscow. Since arriving in Canada, Denis has authored and self-published music books for beginner to advanced pianists.
Denis also composes and arranges music for music theater, and is winner of the First and Special Prizes in Composition at The International Dmitri Kabalevsky Music Competition in Moscow (2017).
